I've been playing video games forever. I'd say my favorite genres would have to be either immersive sims or visual novels. Here are some of my favorites:

Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines—I don't know why, but this game enthralled me to my core when I first played it. Something about the atmosphere, the music, and the story; it all just felt so interesting and new. It just clicked; it was like the world tailor-made a game just for me, so it'll always have a special place in my mind. Funny enough, I didn't actually play through the game vanilla the first time! If you don't know, the game is horrendously broken/buggy, so you have to install a fan patch to play it. I, being the inexperienced mod installer, accidentally installed a total overhaul of all the clans (kind of like different classes of vampires) alongside the patch! So, instead of completing the game as one of the original seven, I beat the game as a Tzimsce! Regardless, I had a lot of fun and, throughout the years, have explored all the clans, endings, and mods I can. Maybe I'll write a review or something on them one day (I check ModDB and Planet Vampire every everyday lol). In all, despite its flaws and kind of bad ending quarter, this game is amazing; I thoroughly recommend it to any vampire fan.

The Elder Scrolls—These games are so good; I'm a fiend for them. I started with Skyrim, was blown away by the world, played it to death, modded it to death, then repeated the cycle for a loooong time. Then I played Oblivion and was pleasantly surprised by the game; it was surprisingly charming and endearing for such an old game. I played a bit of Daggerfall; it was fun, just not really my thing. The dungeon sizes were a bit too...massive for me. Sorry if you're a fan. However, in my opinion, the crowned jewel of this franchise is undoubtedly Morrowind. It's so good; the world just feels so real! Like an actual alien world where I can explore and learn about the culture. Then I discovered the mods where they add entire land masses into the game, full of content to dive into. It was so cool seeing cities of the other games remade according to old lore and losing myself in the world. I could go on and on, but if you're a fan of RPGs, you have to try these games out.

Kingdom Come Deliverance - HENRY OF SKALITZ!!! Historical RPG... I love history, and I love video games. Need I say more?

Honorable Mentions:

The Darkness - Surprisingly good game with an interesting plot and probably the best romance in gaming history. Atmosphere is also top quality, what other game lets you watch an entire movie in a shabby apartment?

Infinity Nikki - I love the concept of the game, buuut its a Gatcha. Also, it's UI is a headache, at least for me. Besides that i adore the outfits in this game, they're really, really good. If this wasn't a money-sucking demon game, I would've played this game a lot more.

Peripeteia - I really want to like this game, I really enjoy the visuals, the gunplay is fun, but the world is just too big and some of the game systems are just kinda bad. Even I can admit, the aesthetic supports this game hard, without it I doubt it'd be notable (I probably haven't shown it much but I'm a Lain loser who loves anything similar in style lol). However, it's still in early access so hopefully some the issues can be resolved.

will be updated, very tired...will make look better later.
